Comb Them Daily

Either each morning, each evening, or both, you should take a few minutes to brush your dog's hair or fur. Taking the time to do this can go a long way when it comes to tangles, knots, and even debris in their coat. If you use a dog brush made for your dog's hair type, you will be able to comb their coat in the most effective way possible. You will likely want to do this combing outside, or in an area where it will be easy to clean up all of the fur that comes off when you are combing them.

Wash Their Face

Since most dogs get little eye goobers and have a runny nose just like humans, it is important to wash their face regularly. If you notice that they have either of these things, take a warm wash cloth and gently wash off their eyes and mouth. You may even want to take a minute to wash out the fur around their face because it may be matted with drool or slobber. Taking the time do this will leave their face not only looking much cleaner, but also smelling much better. 

Brush Their Teeth
